Warehouse Manager – Chemical Manufacturing | Full Time Position Number: PD-500 Department: Warehouse Location: Factory 01 Reports to: Operations Manager We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient handling, storage and dispatch of raw materials, hazardous goods and finished products while ensuring full compliance with regulatory, environmental and quality requirements. About the Role As Warehouse Manager, you will lead warehouse staff in a highly regulated environment, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, the ADG Code, APVMA requirements and workplace health and safety legislation. You will work closely with Production, Quality, Transport and Regulatory teams to maintain safe material flows and high customer service standards. Key Responsibilities Ensure storage and handling of raw materials and finished goods complies with GMP, APVMA requirements and the ADG Code for dangerous goods. Lead and supervise warehouse personnel, fostering a strong safety culture. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, segregation and chemical storage compliance. Oversee loading and unloading of transport vehicles in accordance with hazardous goods procedures. Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and complete all receipting accurately. Warehouse goods in line with approved goods-inwards and chemical handling procedures. Assemble, pick, pack and dispatch customer orders, including freight booking. Manage despatch of products to internal sites and distribution partners. Monitor stock levels and escalate shortages or discrepancies. Control returnable packaging such as pallets, drums and IBCs. Manage CHEP/Loscam pallet accounts. Coordinate internal stock transfers between warehouses and chemical storage areas. Liaise with customers, carriers and regulatory stakeholders regarding deliveries where required. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations. Report hazards, incidents and non-conformances promptly. Authorisations & Responsibilities Identify, assess and control workplace hazards, including chemical risks. Minimise incidents that could result in injury, environmental harm or property damage. Maintain quality and compliance standards within the warehouse. Identify and implement continuous improvement measures. Qualifications & Experience Required / Desirable: Current car licence. Forklift licence essential. Light truck licence highly regarded. Previous experience in chemical, pharmaceutical or hazardous goods warehousing strongly preferred. Willingness to work shift work. Sound numeracy skills and physical capacity for manual handling. Strong team leadership capability. Professional & Personal Attributes Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and warehouse systems. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised. Highly motivated, adaptable and safety-focused. Strong knowledge of OH&S and chemical handling requirements. Clear and professional communication skills.
