Windows Systems Engineer (L3) 9-Month Contract (to December 2026) | Financial Services | Sydney (Hybrid) We're working with a large financial services institution to engage an experienced Windows Systems Engineer for a BAU-focused contract role supporting enterprise Windows environments. This role sits at a Level 3 capability and will suit someone comfortable owning complex incidents, problem management, and ongoing platform stability in a regulated environment. What you'll be doing: Providing Level 3 support across Windows Server environments Owning complex incident and problem resolution Performing root cause analysis and driving permanent fixes Managing patching, upgrades, and platform hygiene Supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, and core Windows services Working closely with service delivery, infrastructure, and security teams Contributing to operational documentation and standards What we're looking for: Strong hands-on Windows systems engineering experience at L3 level Proven experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments Solid Active Directory and Group Policy expertise Experience working in BAU-focused roles within large or regulated environments Strong troubleshooting and incident ownership skills Nice to have: Exposure to PowerShell scripting and automation Experience with monitoring, backup, or security tooling Financial services experience Contract details: Contract through to December 2026 Sydney-based with hybrid working Competitive day rate Mid-March start date
