Role Overview This role is responsible for the integrity and delivery of financial accounting, statutory reporting, and balance sheet management across multiple legal entities. It provides leadership to a small accounting team and partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and continuous improvement of financial processes and systems. Key Responsibilities Ownership of the general ledger and balance sheet, including month-end and year-end close processes Ensure accurate reconciliations, accruals, journals, and P&L allocations Review management and group reporting outputs and resolve variances Support forecasting and reporting for specific business segments Oversee and prepare statutory financial statements and consolidations Manage external audit processes and ensure regulatory filings meet deadlines Liaise with auditors and government bodies as required Administer and oversee the expense management system, including reporting and controls Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting (IFRS 16) registers Support financial systems enhancements and transformation initiatives Ensure inventory and stock reporting is accurate and well controlled on the Fixed Asset Register Prepare accounting position papers for complex transactions Oversee invoicing and tax/accounting treatment Ensure intercompany and subsidiary reporting is accurate and compliant Lead, coach, and develop a small accounting team Provide clear direction, performance oversight, and hands-on support Foster a collaborative, high-integrity, and high-performance team culture Key Skills & Experience Qualified accountant (CA / CPA or equivalent) This role requires someone immediately available to hit the ground running for the next 3 months Minimum 5 years' experience in a large corporate organisation Strong technical accounting knowledge across Australian, New Zealand, and international standards Proven experience in statutory reporting, consolidations, and audits Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability Experience leading and developing finance teams Reference Number: ( 06800-0013381574 ) This is a hybrid position.
