About the role As a Reclink Recreation Worker, this is your opportunity to provide recreational opportunities and support to those who are socially disadvantaged. You will be responsible for the overall coordination of events on both training and gameday (during the football season) and facilitat e participant engagement in Reclink Australia activities during the off season . Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent part-time role offering 15.2 hours per week , located in Nunawading, VIC . This position is open to persons with lived experience of mental health, substance dependency and/or homelessness. How you will make an impact Coordinate service delivery for training and gameday, including participant communication, uniforms, equipment management, transport, venue preparation, pack-up, reporting, and facility bookings. Support participants effectively by proactively managing concerns with the line manager and liaising regularly with Reclink Australia and other partner agencies. Promote the Salvo Hawks program by building and maintaining community relationships, assisting with participant recruitment and induction, and attending Reclink events and activities. Maintain professional boundaries and participant privacy by complying with organisational policies, legislative requirements, and directions from senior staff, and reporting safety concerns promptly. Manage risk by adhering to workplace health and safety requirements, identifying and reporting risks to participants, staff, and the community in line with legislation and organisational procedures. What you will bring Sporting knowledge and ability to mentor participants to have an enjoyable and safe experience. Previous experience coaching team sports may be an advantage.
