About Point Care Point Care is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by delivering person-centred, high-quality support aligned with the NDIS. Position Summary The Support Worker will provide assistance to clients in accordance with their individual NDIS plans, promoting independence, safety, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to clients in line with their NDIS goals and support plans Assist with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming Provide transportation support to appointments and community activities Deliver respite care to clients and their families when required Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care plans and progress notes Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other members of the care team Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure client well-being Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with NDIS best practices Important Note: Please note that Point Care does not offer visa sponsorship . Requirements Minimum high school certificate or equivalent Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or willingness to work towards) Lived and/or paid experience supporting people with disability Understanding of the NDIS and Practice Standards Availability for SIL supports (including sleepovers) Availability for CAS supports (Tue & Wed, 9:00 am–12:00 pm) Knowledge of health and safety and duty of care Strong cultural awareness and communication skills First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office & basic systems) Must be currently in Australia with valid work rights (no visa sponsorship) Benefits Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
