About the role As a First Nations Clinical Nurse (CN) within Brisbane Metro South Sexual Health, you will work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced sexual health care and coordination for people with complex needs. You will contribute to a culturally safe, person-centred model of care through clinical leadership, youth outreach, health promotion, education, quality improvement and research. Key responsibilities You will: Provide clinical leadership in assessment, care planning, decision-making and complex case management Lead and support youth outreach clinics and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health education initiatives Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, audits and risk management activities Support unit management activities, portfolios and accreditation standards Work in partnership with community and internal stakeholders to strengthen access, trust and continuity of care About you You are an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse who brings advanced clinical capability, calm leadership, and a deep commitment to improving sexual health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples . You will bring: A strong practice lens grounded in cultural safety, confidentiality, trauma-informed care and respect Confidence working autonomously and navigating complex clinical environments A relationship-first approach, with the ability to engage respectfully with young people and community A commitment to continuous learning, collaboration and service improvement Eligibility and requirements (Identified role) This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement . Services include: STI screening and treatment HIV testing, management, and PrEP/PEP Nurse-led clinics to improve access for high-risk populations Youth outreach clinics delivered in community and youth venues The team includes sexual health and infectious diseases physicians, registrars, nursing leadership and clinicians, psychology, and administration support.
