About your opportunity: The purpose of the Clinical Nurse is to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the Planned Procedure Unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. The Clinical Nurse applies critical thinking across all domains which include provision of care, support of surgical 24/7 patient flow systems, education, research and professional leadership. The successful CN applicant will use clinical problem-solving/ triage skills to prioritise patients within an 24/7 high surgical perioperative/ postoperative patient flow unit, to provide ongoing pre and post op support, education and advice to patients, their families, and work along members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve safe effective discharge targets for all post op surgical patients who also carries elite consumer engagement skillsets at all times. Please note, the position is permanent flexible, multiple positions and hours negotiable. About the unit: The Planned Procedure Unit (PPU) provides surgical pre-operative & post-operative care for adult and paediatric patients over 6 months of age for all surgical specialities. Nursing Care provided includes admission, pre-operative preparation, post anaesthetic recovery and discharge. Competitive salary and benefits: We offer a generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $119,071 p.a. comprising: Salary range: $56.08 to $60.05 p.h. (NG6-1) 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available and generous leave entitlements Role Requirements: Mandatory qualification (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent) and registration with AHPRA.
