With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Mental Health Clinician (RPN, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker) to join the Hume Community Team â Enhanced Clinical Stream.   Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.   About the Role:   The Enhanced Clinical Stream provides intensive clinical support and outreach to a capped caseload of consumers.   The stream utilises a team based  approach to care for consumers, however each consumer does have a designated primary key clinician.  The Senior Clinician applies their knowledge and expertise  undertaking assessments and provision of intensive case management and targeted interventions and support to consumers with complex mental health related needs.  The Senior Clinician acts as a clinical leader and role model and works with the wider multidisciplinary team, providing assertive community intervention to consumers identified as having high complex needs, through providing increased contact hours, fostering therapeutic engagement, working closely with family, carers and other supports such as NDIS, and providing support and evidence based interventions that are tailored to the individualâs needs    To be successful in this role you will have:  The appropriate qualifications and registration for a discipline described above  At least 5 years experience  post qualification  Any RPN applicants are required to have a post graduate qualification in mental health  Passion  about contributing positively to the lives of consumers with mental illness and their families  Proven Leadership skills  Ability to work  as part of a team but also able to work autonomously    Next Steps . . .  If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
