Role Description Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be able to correspond efficiently and effectively. This includes both verbally as well as in a written formats. Emphasis is put upon the ability to produce well-written technical documentation. Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience in supporting SCCM /Intune Application Packaging. It is highly desirable that candidates have taken and passed their Microsoft 70-243 exam (or any latest SCCM exam) Application Packaging and Repackaging: Create, modify, and maintain software installation packages (MSI, MST, EXE, Intune Win32, App-V) to meet specific organizational standards and deployment requirements. Deployment and Distribution: Utilize Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) to automate and deploy packaged software to workstations and servers, leveraging advanced properties like dependencies, superdense, and task sequences. Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts, primarily using PowerShell, to automate application installations, configurations, and deployment processes, ensuring unattended and silent installations. Troubleshooting and Support: Act as a final escalation point (L3 support) for complex application and package deployment issues, utilizing tools like Promon and Remon for in-depth analysis and resolution. Operating System Deployment (OSD) and Image Management: Assist with creating, maintaining, and upgrading Windows workstation images and task sequences for OS deployment and hardware refreshes. Patch Management: Support monthly patch management cycles for Windows clients and servers, including the deployment of security updates (KBs, bulletins) and ensuring compliance reporting. Documentation and Standards: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and knowledge base articles for the team and L1/L2 support. Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure, security, and project management teams to ensure solutions conform to established enterprise security and operational standards.
