Asset Manager – Perth Commercial / Mixed-Use Assets - Exclusive to CAST Recruitment An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a proactive, results-driven Asset Manager to join a highly engaged and collaborative asset management team in Perth. This role will support the strategic oversight and repositioning of a significant metropolitan asset comprising a major retail centre and a portfolio of seven standalone properties. Reporting directly to the Senior Asset Manager – Perth , the successful candidate will play a key role in driving asset performance, financial outcomes and long-term value creation. The position offers exposure to a complex and evolving portfolio, including the transformation of the core asset into a vibrant mixed-use precinct incorporating retail, office and hotel components. The Role This role is instrumental in supporting the asset’s ongoing redevelopment and long-term strategy. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing strategies to preserve and enhance asset values Preparing high-quality, regular strategic written recommendations for Management and Executive Boards to support long-term objectives and financial sustainability Overseeing leasing and marketing strategies in collaboration with leasing agents and marketing and communications consultants Monitoring development and capital works to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with risks effectively managed Reviewing and managing financial plans, including annual budgets and five-year forecast models Negotiating, implementing and managing contracts, ensuring compliance and effective service delivery Identifying, managing and minimising property and corporate-related risks Building and maintaining strong tenant and stakeholder relationships Guiding on-site property and facilities teams to meet performance targets, enhance value and minimise risk Ensuring ongoing adherence to strong principles of governance and compliance Assisting with ad hoc initiatives within the Asset Management function as required Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will bring: A university degree in Property, Property Valuation, Property Development, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Accounting A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a commercial asset management role Strong financial acumen, with demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis A sound understanding of property management, leasing and investment principles Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, strategic recommendations A flexible, adaptable mindset with a proactive and results-focused approach Patience, sound judgement and the ability to operate effectively within a small, high-performing team Desirable experience includes: Exposure to capital works or redevelopment projects Experience within hotel or mixed-use assets The Opportunity This role will suit someone who is genuinely passionate about asset management, thrives on challenge, and is excited by the opportunity to reposition and enhance complex assets.
