About the Position This HR Payroll & Systems Specialist role is central to the team’s success, providing critical oversight of HR compliance, systems optimisation, and payroll accuracy. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, influencing outcomes across key HR functions while helping to ensure legal compliance and best-practice standards are upheld. Key Responsibilities include: Lead compliance initiatives across HR functions, ensuring alignment with EBAs, Awards, and Australian employment legislation; Oversee offshore support teams to ensure HR and payroll processes are delivered accurately and in compliance with statutory obligations; Stay up to date with legislative changes and drive timely implementation across systems and processes; Conduct regular audits of HR and payroll practices, identifying risks and driving process improvement; Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation and process maps; Design and embed structured compliance processes across HR operations; Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders including HR, Compliance, Internal Audit, and senior leadership; and Provide support to employees and leaders by resolving queries related to entitlements, processes, and compliance issues. About U You are an experienced HR professional with deep technical knowledge in HR compliance, systems, and payroll. You bring a structured, analytical approach and solid numerical skills combined with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Proven experience in HR operations, payroll, and systems; A compliance-first mindset and attention to detail; Deep understanding and knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, superannuation and reporting requirements; Tech-savvy capabilities with HRIS platforms; Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills; and Leadership potential and a proactive, people-focused approach.
