School programs are designed to support young people who have become disengaged from the mainstream school system, to finish their high school education (Year 10 – 12). Central to the school is the interests and objectives of all our students and their families. The Volunteer Classroom Support role is designed to provide in class support to students, ensuring their academic progress, emotional well-being, and social development are fully supported within a nurturing school environment under the direction of the Teacher. Key responsibilities Collaborate closely with teachers to foster an inclusive classroom environment. Work in partnership with school staff to maintain a holistic approach to student well-being and educational success. Assist in the preparation of resources and activities unser the direction of the teacher Follow all safeguarding procedures and policies Qualifications and skills (desired/required) Experience working with senior school students, particularly those with social, emotional, or learning challenges. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate empathy, and act as a positive role model.
