We’re on the lookout for a Trade Assistant to join our supportive and close‑knit Maintenance & Engineering team based at Wetherill Park. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Trade Assistant or someone with hands‑on building and facilities maintenance, or construction exposure who is keen to build their career in an industrial FMCG environment. You’ll work alongside licensed tradespeople and contractors, contributing to the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our site facilities and plant. Reporting to the Group Facilities Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining building, site and infrastructure standards while developing valuable practical skills in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. What you’ll be doing In this hands on role, you will: Support electricians, fitters and contractors with day to day maintenance and site activities Assist with preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance in line with CMMS schedules Conduct routine site and safety inspections, escalating defects and hazards as required Complete general repairs, minor component replacements and upkeep of facilities Assist with site projects, shutdowns and equipment installations Follow WHS, GMP and HACCP requirements, including lock‑out/tag‑out and permit‑to‑work processes under supervision Maintain high housekeeping standards across plant and maintenance areas Manage tools, materials, spare parts and waste in line with site procedures Actively participate in 5S, continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities About Us Established in 1969, BE Campbell has grown to be one of Australia's largest family-owned meat operation, supplying supermarkets, restaurants, retail butchers, small-goods producers, and export channels.
