Macquarie Business School (MQBS) is seeking an experienced and strategic Faculty Engagement Manager to lead the development and delivery of the School’s external engagement strategy. This is a pivotal leadership role that brings together alumni, industry, education, research and service to create measurable impact for the School and the University. Reporting to the Faculty Executive Director, you will lead a high-performing team and work closely with the Executive Dean, Deputy Deans, senior academics and central University stakeholders to ensure engagement activity is coordinated, strategic and aligned to Macquarie University’s broader objectives. About the role As Faculty Engagement Manager, you will provide a “single view of the client” for the Business School, ensuring all engagement activity is connected, efficient and complementary to University-wide initiatives. You will lead the design and implementation of engagement strategies, plans and initiatives that strengthen relationships with alumni and industry partners and support outcomes across education, employability, research, accreditation and rankings. In this role, you will: Lead the development, implementation and ongoing review of the Macquarie Business School engagement strategy in alignment with University priorities. Drive coordinated engagement plans, projects and initiatives, including award and non-award post-experience programs. Establish and maintain a ‘single view of the client’ across divisional and Faculty engagement activity. Develop and manage a School-wide engagement “menu” connecting alumni and industry across education, research and service portfolios. Build and nurture strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support School objectives. Collaborate across the University to ensure engagement activity translates to measurable impact (e.g. student recruitment, employability, accreditation and rankings). Provide expert advice on School and University initiatives, including Work Integrated Learning, mentoring programs, and alumni and industry engagement activities. Manage internal communications for the MQBS Executive Committee. About you You are a highly capable and experienced engagement leader with a strong track record of success in complex, matrixed environments. You bring strategic insight, exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to translate engagement activity into tangible outcomes. You will demonstrate ( Selection Criteria ): A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline. Extensive experience in engagement, relationship management and project management. Proven success in designing and delivering engagement strategies and operational plans. Experience leading multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. Strong capability in building partnerships with industry, alumni and senior stakeholders. Exceptional communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Experience analysing and synthesising data to inform decision-making and reporting. Demonstrated people leadership and team development capability.
