Cast Recruitment are proud to exclusively partner with St Ives to appoint their next Retirement Village Manager for one of their flagship villages, taking over a longstanding staff member who will remain with the organisation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure safety and compliance by adhering to St Ives Safety Systems, managing risks, maintaining contractor compliance, and engaging with residents on safety matters. Lead village risk and governance activities by identifying new risks, implementing controls, and driving continuous improvement in policies and procedures. Oversee legislative and contractual compliance by applying expert knowledge of retirement living legislation, residence contracts, and Interim Code requirements across all village operations. Manage resident contracts and obligations by administering leases, addressing queries, ensuring services and facilities meet contractual commitments, and resolving disputes efficiently. Drive financial governance and budget management by developing annual budgets, monitoring costs, overseeing reporting, and maintaining transparency with residents and committees. Partner with residents and finance stakeholders by fostering cooperative relationships with Resident and Finance Committees, providing clear reporting, and supporting consultation processes. Deliver an exceptional resident experience by managing onboarding, sales compliance, complaints, feedback processes, and promoting resident engagement through events and activities. Lead asset and facilities management by maintaining the asset register, developing long-term facilities plans, managing the MRF and operating budgets, and overseeing maintenance and service contracts. Build and develop a high-performing village team by recruiting, inducting, developing, and performance-managing staff, while reviewing work practices for operational efficiency. Manage village presentation and property readiness by overseeing resident lease terminations, coordinating vacated homes, and ensuring the village is visually appealing and compliant for sales purposes. Partner with Sales and Marketing by coordinating tours, events, and community activities, identifying promotional opportunities, and reviewing marketing materials for accuracy and compliance. Promote trust, transparency, and reputation by leading governance processes, ensuring accurate documentation, facilitating meetings, and championing continuous improvement and innovation across the village.
