We are seeking an organised and detail-focused Payroll Administrator to support our finance functions during a maternity leave period. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and can work confidently both independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for accurately preparing payroll data for submission to our third-party payroll provider. Experience with Reckon or a similar payroll platform is essential. Key Responsibilities Prepare payroll summaries and data files for submission to an external payroll service Collect, verify, and manually enter timesheets and rostered hours Reconcile payroll reports received from the outsourced provider Coordinate leave requests, allowances, deductions, and pay variations Ensure compliance with awards, legislation, and internal policies Maintain employee records, new starter information, and employment changes Prepare and distribute payroll and workforce reports to Upper Management Maintain Portable Long Service Leave Respond to employee queries regarding hours, entitlements, and payroll outcomes Skills & Experience Previous experience in payroll administration or HR/payroll support (essential) Proficiency with Reckon or similar accounting/payroll systems Strong knowledge of Australian employment standards, awards, and superannuation requirements High accuracy, attention to detail, and data integrity Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with staff at all levels Ability to work autonomously and manage deadlines Ideal Candidate You’ll be a proactive, organised team player with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for accuracy.
