ALFA (NT) Limited is an Aboriginal owned carbon business working in partnership with Traditional Landowners and Aboriginal ranger groups over more than 86,000 km2 of Arnhem Land. ALFA is the registered project proponent for six projects which generate Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) through the Savanna Burning Methodology. ALFA’s purpose is to support Traditional Owners and Aboriginal rangers to deliver best-practice fire management projects that generate environmental, cultural and social benefits, producing Australian carbon credits (ACCUs) of the highest integrity. ALFA operates as a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). All income from the sale of carbon credits, net of administration costs, is reinvested to support ALFA’s charitable objects, with a particular focus on funding culturally appropriate fire management. ALFA also supports broader charitable outcomes through the ALFA Grant Program. The ALFA Grant program supports partner Aboriginal ranger groups to deliver land management and socio-economic outcomes in line with ALFA’s charitable objects. ALFA employs a Grants Coordinator to support the administration of the ALFA Grant Program. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to working with Aboriginal people and supporting the development of Traditional Owners and rangers to continue to care for the spectacular landscapes of Arnhem Land.
