Cardijn College Marcellin in Christie Downs has a focus on vocational education and training for students in Years 10 to 12 and beyond, with relationships that extend well into their careers. Cardijn College Galilee in Aldinga enrols students from Reception to Year 9, providing a nurturing environment with an emphasis on ecological awareness and a personalised sense of belonging. Cardijn College is seeking two passionate and collaborative educators to join our Diverse Learning Team as LaValla Learning Coordinators, supporting inclusive education in the Marist tradition. These positions offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the learning journeys of students with additional needs through strong leadership, relationship‑building and a commitment to personalised learning. About the Positions We invite applications for the following roles: LaValla Learning Coordinator – 3 terms (fixed term) LaValla Learning Coordinator – 3.5 terms (fixed term) The LaValla Learning Coordinator works in close partnership with the Leader of Diverse Learning and leads a dedicated team of teachers and ESOs to support students with additional learning needs. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that students experience a supportive, adaptive and successful pathway through Cardijn College. Key Responsibilities The LaValla Learning Coordinator will: Leadership & Team Management Lead, guide and inspire the LaValla Learning Team through collaborative practices. Oversee timetables, workflows and rosters for teaching and ESO staff. Promote best practice in inclusive education aligned with the Australian Curriculum. Manage the daily operations of the LaValla Learning and Sensory Spaces. Student and Family Support Coordinate the induction, transition and ongoing case management of students accessing LaValla Learning Spaces. Ensure high‑quality and current Personalised Plans for Learning (PPLs) and other required student plans. Review diagnostic reports and implement appropriate responses for student support. Professional Learning Lead staff capability development in curriculum adaptation, assessment adjustments and inclusive classroom strategies. Provide guidance to teachers on curriculum design, differentiation and reporting. Stakeholder Engagement Foster strong partnerships with parents/caregivers, CESA consultants and external allied health professionals (e.g., NDIS providers, therapists, psychologists). Support pathways planning for students from enrolment through to post‑school transitions. Additional Responsibilities Oversee special provisions processes for assessments and examinations. Support the management of critical incidents involving students with diverse learning needs. Assist with budget management relating to LaValla Learning, in collaboration with the Leader of Diverse Learning and College leadership. About You You will be an experienced educator with: Current SA Teacher Registration and accreditation to teach in Catholic Education SA. A strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and to supporting the mission and values of Cardijn College. Demonstrated expertise in inclusive education, staff development and leading positive change. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. The ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, staff and external professionals. A strategic and proactive approach to managing student needs and team operations.
