Job Description Our client is a leading IT organisation that is looking for a IT Systems Manager, to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and strategic development of their IT systems and infrastructure. This is a key leadership position where you will take ownership of their technology environment, ensuring performance, resilience, and security, while supporting the growth and efficiency of their business. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain servers, networks, storage, virtualisation, and cloud infrastructure Lead the deployment, configuration, and upgrade of system software and hardware Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability Implement and enforce security protocols, patch management, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans Manage relationships with third-party vendors for hardware, software, and IT services Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations with minimal business disruption Lead, mentor, and support a small team of system administrators and IT support staff Work cross-functionally with other departments and IT teams to deliver infrastructure support for ongoing projects Maintain up-to-date documentation of system architecture, processes, and configurations Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices, recommending relevant improvements Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for maintenance or emergencies when needed Your skills: Extensive experience managing complex IT systems and infrastructure Solid experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V Proficiency with cloud technologies like AWS or Azure Strong understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs) Expert knowledge of Windows Server and Linux/Unix operating systems Deep understanding of security, backup, and disaster recovery best practices Proven ability to lead and develop a small team of technical staff Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Apply today To be considered for this role, submit your CV today (in Word format) by clicking the Apply button or directly to gary@psgaus.com.au
