Description Full-Time Permanent Role: Based at our Gepps Cross SA depot Roster: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Overtime (as required) 7-Day Standby Roster every 12 weeks Competitive Pay: EBA rates penalties Downer’s Energy & Utilities team is growing, and we’re looking for motivated Team Members to join us at our Gepps Cross SA depot. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering safe, high-quality construction, fault response, and maintenance services across Adelaide’s gas distribution network. Your day-to-day will include: Performing mains and services breakdowns, corrective maintenance, and minor construction activities Providing reliable emergency response services during regular and after-hours operations Assisting with ordering and installing materials and quarry products to complete allocated works Carrying out emergency maintenance to ensure the safe and continuous supply of gas ABOUT YOU We’re looking for someone who is: Site Proficient: Previous experience in excavation, landscaping, or outdoor work. Gas, civil, or utilities experience highly regarded Technically Skilled: Confident in the safe use of hand tools and equipment for physically demanding tasks Team-Oriented: Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety in a collaborative environment Qualifications & Requirements: Full working rights in Australia White Card (within the last 3 years) MR, HR, MC or relevant truck licence (desirable) Gas Test Atmosphere, Plumbing or Gas Fitter qualifications (preferred) Must be clean-shaven and willing to undertake a pre-employment medical ABOUT THE TEAM Downer’s Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team connecting communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
