This is a senior, hands-on Data Architect role where you’ll define the enterprise-wide approach to trusted, compliant, and resilient data across complex OT and IT environments , using Microsoft Purview as the cornerstone. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the architecture and design of an enterprise Data Governance framework using Microsoft Purview Define metadata, classification, lineage, access policies, stewardship models, and governance workflows Design secure Purview integration across OT (SCADA, EMS, historians) and IT (M365, SaaS, cloud platforms) Architect secure on-prem connectivity using Self-Hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR) without exposing operational data Ensure seamless alignment with Enterprise IAM (Entra ID / RBAC / managed identities) Prepare governance foundations for Microsoft Fabric as the downstream data platform Ensure compliance with SOCI Act, IPART, AESCSF v2, and ISO 27001 , with audit-ready traceability Produce high-quality architecture artefacts, runbooks, and operating models to enable BAU teams Must have Skills & Experience: Microsoft & Data Governance Expertise Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (Data Map, Catalog, Classification, Lineage, Policies) Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or Azure data platforms (ADLS, Synapse, Spark) Proven experience designing enterprise data governance frameworks in hybrid environments OT & Critical Infrastructure Experience Understanding of OT systems (SCADA, EMS/DMS, historians, telemetry platforms) Experience working with secure, segmented, or DMZ-based architectures Appreciation of how OT constraints shape data governance and metadata strategies Architecture & Compliance Strong background in conceptual, logical, and physical data architecture Experience aligning data governance with regulatory and cyber frameworks (SOCI, ISO 27001, AESCSF) Ability to translate policy and governance theory into practical, adoptable solutions You’ll Succeed If You Are Comfortable working with senior technical, cyber, and executive stakeholders Methodical, pragmatic, and able to balance governance rigor with operational reality A strong communicator who can bridge OT, IT, and Security worlds Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar 10 years’ experience delivering complex data or architecture programs Certifications highly regarded: Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data certifications TOGAF (or equivalent) CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001
