The Opportunity The Project Manager is responsible for key aspects of project activities which include project scoping, feasibility, design and development, procurement, delivery and commissioning within the designated specific scope, time and budget. The position supports the planning and delivery of major, complex electricity transmission infrastructure, through the development and overseeing of project activities, and the building of effective, collaborative stakeholder relationships. This role will support the VNI West Delivery Program. What you will deliver Provide client-side professional expertise to contribute to all stages of the development and delivery of complex or difficult energy infrastructure projects to time, cost and quality requirements. Drive a project delivery framework that ensures projects are delivered to best practice, contract, and asset management standards, in compliance with planning and environmental approvals. Ensure the effective management and completion of complex infrastructure including detailed review of contractor schedule and costs estimates, systems assurance, operational readiness, commissioning activities and close out reporting requirements. Ensure that the management of safety is paramount and implements sector best practice processes and procedures. Build strong working relationships and negotiate with stakeholders, including project team members, quality standards, government, and community requirements. Provide guidance to a multidisciplinary team, including consultants and contractors to achieve project objectives. What you will bring Demonstrated experience in the delivery of large complex infrastructure projects, across a broad range of delivery models including D&C, Alliance and PPP. Exposure to working on power distribution projects will be highly regarded. Proven experience in the identification and effective management of project risk, including the development of proactive mitigation strategies.
