The Role As a Full-Time Level 5 Security Operations Centre (SOC) Operator , you will play a crucial role in safeguarding an organisation's infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, analysing incidents, and coordinating responses to security threats across the network and physical locations. Your primary focus will be on real-time threat detection, investigation, and escalation of potential risks, ensuring the protection of both digital and physical assets. You will report directly to the Security Operations Manager and SOC Supervisor, contributing to our mission of maintaining a secure environment through constant vigilance and prompt incident response. Roster/Hours: Rotating Roster - 06:00-18:00/18:00-06:00 Skills, Experience, and Attributes To thrive as a SOC Operator, you should have: Current NSW Security Licence - 1AE Classification (Required) Current First Aid and CPR certifications (Required) Certificate II in Security Operations Working with Children Check (Required) Police Check (Required) Control Room experience (Preferred) Availability for a rotating roster, including day and night shifts across 7 days. Excellent communication and reporting skills Strong attention to detail and focus during monitoring Knowledge of surveillance and alarm systems. Proficiency in Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems Problem-solving and analytical abilities for threat identification Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift equipment or respond to emergencies.
