Principal AWS Migration Consultant Who are we? Cevo helps organisations build the capability for continuous evolution, turning transformation from a one-off program into a lasting ability to adapt, innovate and deliver better outcomes. As an Australian-owned AWS Premier Consulting Partner, we design and deliver modern cloud platforms, unlock data for insight and apply AI where it creates real value, while empowering teams so capability and impact extend well beyond each engagement. With onshore teams across Australia, we’ve partnered with more than 200 organisations across start-ups, commercial, enterprise and government. The Role Current State Assessment Lead comprehensive application portfolio and infrastructure assessments using AWS prescriptive guidance frameworks. Act as the first point of engagement with new clients, shaping project readiness and migration strategy. Analyze existing on-premises and cloud architectures, network topology, security posture, and deployment processes. Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for migration and infrastructure modernisation, including compute, storage, and networking layers. Migration Strategy & Roadmap Development Define an AWS migration strategy aligned with business objectives, leveraging AWS’s three-phase approach: Assess, Mobilize, and Migrate & Modernize. Develop detailed migration roadmaps for applications, databases, and infrastructure components using AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) principles. Prioritise workloads for migration based on AWS assessment criteria, cost optimisation, and business impact. Design phased migration approaches that minimise downtime and ensure compliance with security and governance standards. Solution Design & Implementation Architect and implement AWS landing zones, VPC designs, and secure networking configurations following AWS best practices. Utilise AWS migration tools and services such as AWS Migration Hub, Application Migration Service, Database Migration Service (DMS), and Server Migration Service (SMS). Apply AWS modernisation patterns including monolith decomposition, containerisation (ECS/EKS), and serverless adoption (Lambda). Implement event-driven architectures, auto-scaling, and high-availability designs to optimise performance and resilience. Ensure solutions adhere to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles for security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimisation. Infrastructure & Operations Oversee data centre exit strategies, workload re-platforming, and hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect). Establish monitoring and observability using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and third-party tools. Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies leveraging AWS services like S3, Glacier, and Backup. Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform. Who are you?
