Mobile Automation Test Consultant (iOS, Android, API, Automation) Sydney or Melbourne | Hybrid Tarkine Consulting is supporting a major program across mobile and digital platforms. As part of this work, were looking to engage a Mobile Automation Test Consultant to join an established delivery team focused on customer-facing mobile applications. This role is embedded within a mobile product team and is hands-on by design, combining mobile automation with functional testing to support ongoing releases and platform stability. The role Youll be responsible for automation and quality across iOS and Android applications, working closely with developers, product owners, and delivery leads to ensure mobile experiences are reliable and production-ready. Responsibilities typically include: Designing, building, and maintaining mobile automation test suites Executing functional, regression, and UAT testing across mobile apps Automating test coverage for iOS and Android platforms Supporting API testing and validation of backend integrations Analysing production issues and supporting release cycles Collaborating closely with developers, BAs, and product teams Logging, managing, and driving defects through to resolution What were looking for 2–5 years experience testing mobile applications Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks across iOS and Android Exposure to tools such as Espresso, XCUITest, Java, Swift, or similar API testing experience using tools such as Postman Experience working in Agile delivery environments Strong defect management and communication skills Comfortable working in a hybrid environment alongside onshore delivery teams Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, BDD tools, or AI-assisted testing tools is beneficial but not essential.
