Description The Role: As WA Football’s Digital Content Producer, you’ll play a key role in creating and delivering high-quality, engaging content across digital channels for the WAFL and WA Football. Working as part of a dynamic marketing team, you’ll craft content for social media, websites and email marketing that connects with fans, teams, players and the wider football community. Thinking this role is just about social media posts? Think again. This role will also see you producing work with photographers, videographers, content creators and podcasters to create unique content to engage with WAFL and WA Football fans like never before. Following trends are great, but we’d also love to create our own and be a leader in building connections with our fans in both audio, visual and written content. Critical to the role is also having a love and passion for sport, of even better, Australian Rules Football. ‘Fandom’ in sport is real, and you’ll need to embody the behaviours and cultural practices that reflect the emotional investment our audiences desire from the players, the teams and the community that surrounds WA Football. Whether is wearing merchandise, attending games, watching highlights or listening to podcasts about football, our audiences are deeply connected with the game and you need to be right there, having fun alongside them. Key accountabilities include: Leading and delivering WA Football’s digital content strategy across social media, websites, podcasts and email channels. Managing the content calendar and aligning output with competitions, key football moments, community activity, and marketing campaigns. Planning, producing, and capturing engaging content, including short-form video, graphics, and copy, across all WA Football and WAFL platforms. Collaborating with internal teams and a range of creative partners to deliver on-brand content and report on performance to support continual improvement. Staying up to date with digital and social media trends to drive engagement, reach, and audience growth across the WA football community. Availability to work some evenings and weekends during key moments and events Skills And Experiences About You: Four years’ experience producing compelling digital content across social, web, and email Passion for sport with Australian Rules Football desired Strong writing, storytelling, and video production skills (planning, filming, editing) Connected with content creators or proven ability to work with production partners to get the best results for a creative brief Proficiency in key content and digital tools, including social media platforms, CMS systems, email marketing tools, analytics dashboards, and content creation software Collaborative, proactive and organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with internal teams and external creatives Why work for us: We facilitate an infectious culture that makes coming to work a rewarding experience.
