About the role: As a Team Leader/Laboratory Supervisor, you will play a critical leadership role within Monash IVF laboratory in Southport, combining advanced scientific expertise with people leadership, operational oversight and a strong commitment to quality and patient care. In this role, you will provide embryology and andrology services while acting as a trusted senior leader within the laboratory—supporting day‑to‑day operations, training graduates, guiding best practice and contributing to a high‑performing, collaborative team culture. Beyond the routine duties of an experienced Embryologist, this position has a strong leadership focus. You will actively support and influence laboratory standards, mentor developing scientists and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes, safety and efficiency. Ideally you will bring the role: This role is ideal for a senior embryologist who is passionate about leadership, enjoys mentoring others and is motivated to influence laboratory excellence while remaining hands‑on in clinical practice. Degree in Biological or Health Science, with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field desirable Minimum 5 years’ experience working as an Embryology Scientist Demonstrated expertise in clinical human embryology services, including IVF, ICSI, embryo biopsy, culture, cryopreservation and andrology Proven experience delivering endocrine services Strong understanding of ART legislation, clinical protocols and RTAC Code of Practice and industry compliance requirements Knowledge of donor and surrogacy programs within an ART environment High level technical capability, including excellent pipetting, fine motor skills and strong attention to detail Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders Why work with us?
