ROLE SNAPSHOT Network Infrastructure Engineer responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, scalability, and security of the company's enterprise infrastructure and global co-location low-latency network. Working in a lean team, you'll be involved in a mix of project and operational production support. Hybrid working. Responsibilities include: Manage, support, and enhance enterprise and global colocation network infrastructure. Configure and maintain Cisco routing and switching. Deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize Palo Alto firewalls. Work with BGP, VLANs, routing protocols, and secure network segmentation. Support network security best practices. Ensure network reliability, performance, and uptime across global sites. Assist with physical infrastructure such as network racks, cabling, patching, and hardware installations. Management & support of Windows/Linux servers, virtualised infrastructure (Hyper-V), and AWS cloud infrastructure. Assist with onsite IT support and general IT operations as needed Project involvement - Work with IT and security teams on infrastructure and connectivity projects including, network architectural design; implementation of new technologies; automation & process improvement initiatives; documentation etc. REQUIRED BACKGROUND / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL QUALITIES Suitable for a hands-on technical Network Engineer experienced with the support, management and design of critical enterprise network infrastructure. Ideal for someone who seeking continuous learning while undertaking a broad role inside a lean team, allowing involvement in operational support, project delivery, and architectural design responsibilities. The following is required: Proven exp as a Network Engineer, with the design, management & support of critical & complex enterprise network infrastructure. Core competencies in BGP and Cisco R&S. Palo Alto firewall experience. Competently able to use Wireshark. Demonstrated experience delivering network projects - e.g. network designs, datacentre builds etc Experience (and/or interest in learning to) administering Windows/Linux servers and virtualised infrastructure. Financial trading industry experience is beneficial. Relevant certifications - CCNA / CCNP. Personality / attitude: someone friendly who is eager to contribute, collaborate, and share knowledge to solve problems; is patient and listens to others; keeps composure in critical environments; willingness and ability to learn new technologies (and from prior mistakes); strong sense of ownership, accountability, and taking the initiative.
