Databricks Python Engineer - Financial Services Migration Program Location: Brisbane (Hybrid) Contract: Fixed-term / Daily Rate Talenza are recruiting for 3 x skilled Databricks Python Engineer who are looking to make an impact on a major cloud migration program. Join a leading financial services group as they modernize their data ecosystem and migrate critical workloads to AWS (Open to Candidates with strong Azure experience as well) You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and analytics solutions using Databricks and Python. This is a hands-on engineering role within a high-performing team, focused on delivering scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions in the cloud. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes in Databricks. Develop robust Python-based solutions for data transformation and integration. Collaborate with data architects and cloud engineers to ensure seamless migration to AWS. Optimize performance and cost efficiency across the data platform. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in a financial services context. Skills & Experience Strong experience with Databricks and Python in production environments. Proven track record in data engineering and cloud migration projects. Solid understanding of AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, etc.). Familiarity with Spark, SQL, and distributed data processing. Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is highly desirable. This is a 6 month initial contract on a program which will run for a likely 18 months.
