The successful applicant will be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of complex and high‑value road and civil infrastructure projects across the ACT. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead procurement and contract management activities, manage design and construction phases, and ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with approved time, cost, quality and scope requirements. You will provide expert advice on procurement strategies, delivery models, contractual matters and risk management. The role also involves preparing business cases, reports and ministerial briefs, managing community and stakeholder engagement, and leading a small professional team to deliver high‑quality infrastructure outcomes for the Canberra community. We are seeking an experienced infrastructure professional with a strong track record in delivering complex civil or road infrastructure projects, preferably within a government or regulated environment. You will have well‑developed expertise in procurement, contract management and project governance, with the ability to navigate legislative and policy frameworks while maintaining probity and accountability. You will bring strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with senior executives, contractors and community stakeholders. Sound judgement, analytical capability and a proactive approach to risk management are essential, along with the ability to produce high‑quality executive‑level documentation and deliver outcomes in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. Desirable: Experience in the delivery large and complex road design and/or construction projects is highly desirable.
