About the Role The Commercial Analyst supports the effective management of Avant’s technology vendors, contracts, and procurement activities. This role provides hands-on involvement across the vendor lifecycle, with growing responsibility for coordination, analysis, and execution. Reporting to the Head of Technology Strategy and working closely with the Commercial and Finance Lead, you will partner with technology, finance, and risk teams to ensure vendor arrangements are commercially sound, compliant, and well-managed. You will take ownership of defined vendor and contract activities while continuing to build depth across commercial and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and manage the technology vendor register across multiple domains and contract types• Coordinate vendor onboarding, due diligence, and documentation processes• Manage contract renewals, including tracking key dates, supporting negotiations, and preparing recommendations• Identify procurement efficiencies and support cost-optimisation initiatives• Support vendor performance monitoring, compliance, and reporting activities• Work closely with stakeholders across technology, finance, risk, and business teams to resolve vendor-related issues Skills and experience required • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Commerce, IT, or a related discipline• 1-3 years’ experience in procurement, vendor management, contract administration, commercial analysis, or a related role• Experience working with vendor or contract management systems • Exposure to technology procurement or IT vendor environments (desirable)• Understanding of regulated industry environments, particularly financial services or insurance (desirable)• Awareness of APRA prudential standards, including CPS 230, or willingness to learn We have a diverse and connected work environment where your contribution and ideas will be valued and respected and make a real difference to the lives of others.
