ABOUT THE ROLE As Company Secretary, you will lead CA ANZ’s Governance team, facilitate ethical leadership and support our Board, sub-committees, and Council ecosystem. This is a fast-paced, challenging role suited to a highly experienced, digitally savvy self-starter who thrives under tight deadlines. Key responsibilities: Advise Board and committee members on best practice in corporate governance and legal implications Deliver secretariat services for CA ANZ Group’s Board, Council, and committees Develop strong working relationships with Board and committee members Develop, implement, and maintain governance compliance policies, processes, and procedures Manage Board processes including papers, agendas, minutes, and proposals Quality-assures all critical papers, securing proper review and authorization Ensure CA ANZ complies with statutory obligations Drive a high-performance culture within the Governance team ABOUT YOU Extensive experience (approx. 7 years) in a Company Secretary or similar governance role Well-developed knowledge of governance compliance, procedures, and legislative frameworks Experience providing executive-level advice and guidance to Boards and senior stakeholders Proven leadership experience - inspire, mentor and empower team members Demonstrated experience developing and implementing governance structures and policies Exemplary written communication skills for high-level briefings, minutes, and reports High ethical standards, integrity, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality Strategic leader who anticipates challenges and develops innovative governance solutions ABOUT US Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) represents more than 140,000 financial professionals, supporting them to make a meaningful difference in the communities where they work and live.
