Whitefriars College is a Catholic boys school in the Carmelite tradition. We are seeking to appoint a Disability Support Worker , with the position commencing in February 2026. Reporting to the Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching through the Director - Learning Diversity, The Disability Support Worker plays a key role in supporting students with disability to fully participate in all aspects of college life, including the classroom, playground and off-campus activities. Working closely with teachers and the Learning Diversity team, the role focuses on enabling students to access the curriculum, engage confidently in learning, and achieve their personal and educational goals within an inclusive secondary school environment. This position involves providing individual and small-group support tailored to students’ medical, physical, social and learning needs. Responsibilities include assisting with learning tasks, mobility and personal care where required, supporting participation in excursions and assessments, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to positive partnerships with families and staff. The Disability Support Worker also promotes student wellbeing and independence through encouragement, emotional support, and respectful, strengths-based practices.
