Location: Dubbo, NSW Type: Full-time with on-call and weekend shifts Benefits: Vehicle, uniform, and PPE provided About the Role: Are you ready to make a significant impact on animal welfare? As an RSPCA NSW Inspector, you'll be at the forefront of protecting animals from cruelty and neglect. Investigate welfare reports, enforce the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1979, and educate the community while being backed by a supportive team. What You'll Do: Respond to and investigate cruelty/neglect reports (evidence, statements, case notes, reports) Work with owners to improve animal care through education and follow-up Take enforcement action when required (including welfare directions, fines and court proceedings) Rescue, handle and transport animals safely and humanely Support emergency response during floods, fires and other incidents What You'll Bring: Strong teamwork and respectful communication (even in tough conversations) Sound decision-making and attention to detail for evidence and reporting Physical fitness and confidence handling animals safely A strong safety mindset and commitment to WHS procedures Animal handling experience Investigation experience Essential Requirements: Current NSW Driver’s Licence Current First Aid & CPR Willingness to work on-call rostered weekends Animal handling experience Be a part of a team that works together to make a difference where it truly matters.
