Your Role As a Gensler Architectural Designer, you will collaborate with a team of architects and designers to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction administration phase of a project. What You Will Do Develop the design and delivery of the architectural and/or technical aspects of a project. Possess knowledge of architectural design principals, technical details, codes, and material characteristics. Participate in all project phases, with a primary focus on design development, construction documents and construction administration. Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives. Produce BIM models and construction drawings. Resolve challenging technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, technical, constructible solutions. Support project sustainability targets throughout project phases and actively engage in delivering them. Study sustainable design strategies in every project stage and investigate solutions to sustainable design challenges. Work collaboratively with the team to optimize sustainability performance through design iterations and research. Coordinate external stake holders such as engineers, manufacturers, and local authorities. Engage in climate focused analysis and studies for each project. Your Qualifications An undergraduate or Master’s degree in Architecture Minimum 5 years post qualification professional work experience Registered Architect in the United Kingdom would be beneficial but not a deal breaker. Experience in project leadership, excellent client liaison and team management skills Knowledge of local building regulations, codes, standards and building structures Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents Proficiency in Revit, Rhino and Grasshopper is essential Experience with the full project lifecycle Ability to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done Your Design Technology Qualifications Essential: Deep knowledge and experience in Autodesk Revit for design authoring, documentation, data extracts and project delivery. Experience in collaboration within the BIM context, including cloud-based markups, consultant coordination and clash detection. Deep understanding of Real-Time Visualization development within the context of BIM, specifically in the use of Escape/ other rendering mediums.
