About the opportunity: The Security Operations Lead will be responsible for leading and maturing Steadfast’s Security Operations capability across a modern, cloud ‑ first environment. This Sydney ‑ based role combines hands ‑ on technical leadership with people management, incident leadership, and continuous improvement of detection, response, and security operations processes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the day ‑ to ‑ day operations of the Security Operations Centre (SOC), including monitoring, investigation, and incident response. Act as the escalation point for complex and high ‑ severity security incidents, ensuring effective coordination and stakeholder communication. Uplift threat detection and response capabilities across SIEM, EDR, cloud security, and automation tooling. Partner with Cyber Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Technology teams to embed security ‑ by ‑ design and strengthen controls. Lead, mentor, and develop SOC analysts and security engineers while driving operational maturity and reporting. Skills and Qualifications: 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity with a strong background in Security Operations, Threat Detection, or Incident Response. Hands ‑ on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, network security, and Microsoft cloud security platforms. Proven experience leading incident response, threat hunting, and forensic investigations. Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and models such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a fast ‑ paced environment.
