About the role Are you passionate about protecting the rights and dignity of older Australians? We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate practitioner to join our Elder Abuse Prevention Support Service (EAPSS) and Seniors Financial Protection Service (SFPS), based in Maroochydore. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to make a meaningful impact through specialist case management with older people, couples, and families affected by elder abuse, with a strong focus on preventing financial exploitation. In this role, you’ll provide intensive, client-centred case management, undertaking comprehensive assessments, safety planning, advocacy, and coordinated referrals. You’ll work closely with legal, financial, health, and community services to deliver integrated support and positive outcomes for older people. You’ll also contribute to community education and capacity-building activities, helping raise awareness and strengthen responses to elder abuse across the region. Additionally, you will: Deliver responsive case management, risk assessments, and safety planning for clients Support older people to navigate financial challenges and prevent financial abuse Work collaboratively with community, health, legal, and financial partners to achieve positive outcomes Facilitate referrals, case conferences, and coordinated care planning Contribute to community education sessions that build awareness and prevention strategies Provide empathetic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed support at all times About you You are motivated by purpose and thrive on making a difference. You’re equally at home working directly with clients, collaborating with stakeholders, or advocating in the community.
