Part- time (0.2 FTE) fixed - term contract until 31 December 2026 with "Contract renewal contingent on funding" Contribute to the improvement and innovation of clinical teaching and learning Base Salary starting from $156,103 (pro-rata) 17% superannuation Clinical Loading About the opportunity The University is seeking a Senior Lecturer, Medical Education (Clinical Education - Level C) ; Clinical Education position at the Rural Clinical School - Northern Rivers , University Centre for Rural Health (UCRH) . This role provides critical teaching in our medic al program. The Senior Lecturer (Clinical Education) will significantly contribute to teaching and learning by applying their extensive clinical experience in developing and implementing contemporary, relevant and best-practice clinical pedagogy. They will contribute to the improvement and innovation of clinical teaching and learning and maintain links with the profession and partners. The Clinical Educator will deliver to medical students in multiple cohorts of students while on placement at UCRH during their Medical Education Term . The incumbent will be situated on the Lismore Campus . Your key responsibilities will be to: contribute to the development and implementation of clinical education innovation, curriculum design and review, ensuring alignment with relevant accreditation requirements. undertake teaching and coaching of students within a simulated or real clinical setting, applying clinical experience and expertise to inform best practice teaching. coordinate and engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences which meet the university’s expectations and standards for education, apply clinical knowledge and expertise to innovate teaching and learning, including developing resources and innovative practices. contribute to innovati ve curriculum design and pedagogy to enhance, improve and evaluate health and education outcomes. contribute to supervision of medical students for MD research projects . understand and contribute to furthering the university and faculty/school strategic agenda. develop and maintain productive links between the University, the profession and the University’s clinical and industry partners to improve outcomes for the profession . undertake other duties and contribute to projects appropriate within the classification level as . be a subject matter expert, who can work under broad direction to deliver goals strategically and autonomously within set timeframes . resolve complex matters, provide sound advice and exercise independent judgement to achieve goals related to teaching and research . be able to take on staffing responsibilities as appropriate or determine resourcing needs. About you P h D in relevant field and / or equivalent industry experience , such as staff specialist significant experience in contemporary clinical teaching practice significant experience in education design and practice currently working clinically, preferably in the Northern Rivers region current AHPRA registration full membership of specialty college proven experience in supervising and mentoring students experience in teaching and learning, as evidenced by participation in team teaching and teaching in a variety of settings demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives experience at working in a rural setting evidence of an established network of academic, industry and professional partners and stakeholders developed knowledge and understanding of the key strategic issues in the discipline and higher education sector .
