Embrace possibilities and be open to new ideas and creating bold solutions. About the role We are seeking an exceptional Rates & Receivables Manager to lead our team. As the Rates & Receivables Manager, you will use your professional expertise, extensive legal knowledge and technical competence to lead the Rates function, which has the responsibility for generating annual revenues exceeding $450 million. You will mentor, motivate and develop the team, and enhance rating policies and practices to achieve sustainable results for the City and equitable outcomes for the Cityâs ratepayers. You will have demonstrated project management and change management skills having delivered system and process improvements with clear and meaningful communications to all stakeholders. To be suited to this role you will have: Demonstrated significant supervisory experience and technical knowledge in local government rates and property revenue. Advanced analytical and financial modelling and reconciliation skills, including extensive experience extracting, manipulating and analysing large and complex datasets using a range of data interrogation tools such as Microsoft Excel and similar. Proven leadership and people management capability, including the ability to set priorities, drive process and digital improvements, develop policies, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and customers. Advanced capabilities in interpreting and applying legislation, with strong governance, compliance and risk management skills.
