ConsultANZ is looking for a Diesel/Heavy Plant Mechanic to join a civil piling and foundation construction company based in North Brisbane. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy plant machinery including piling rigs, cranes, and excavators. This position suits candidates with experience in heavy diesel mechanics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and fault finding. Main Duties Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy plant machinery including Bauer, Liebherr, and Kobelco equipment. Carry out workshop-based servicing and repairs, as well as field servicing when required. Perform hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Utilize maintenance software (Nimble) to track machine servicing, oil sampling programs, and compliance. Work independently and take initiative on both minor and major repairs. Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and operating efficiently. Requirements Trade-qualified with 3 years’ experience in diesel or heavy plant mechanics Strong skills in mechanical repairs, hydraulics, and electrical fault finding Hands-on experience with Bauer, Liebherr, and Kobelco machinery (highly valued) Piling rig experience preferred; crane or excavator background also considered Able to use maintenance software (e.g., Nimble) for tracking, oil sampling, and performance monitoring Capable of managing a diverse fleet of heavy plant machinery Practical problem-solver with a proactive, hands-on attitude Flexible to work in both workshop and field environments Benefits Competitive pay rate: $50/hr. super a company ute.
