Description Are you a primary-trained and registered teacher in Wellington looking to try something new? Many primary teachers don’t realise they’re eligible to work in secondary schools, and schools across Wellington are actively seeking adaptable educators with strong classroom management skills. Relieving in secondary is not subject-specialist teaching. You’ll be supervising classes, delivering set work, and supporting students in a structured environment. If you’re confident managing a classroom, you already have the core skills needed. Importantly, we at ANZUK also continue to offer primary relief work, so you can choose a mix of primary and secondary that suits you. What Secondary Relief Involves Supervising Years 7–13 classes using pre-prepared lesson plans Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining learning routines Supporting student engagement rather than delivering specialist content Following school policies and providing brief handover notes No NCEA marking. No lesson planning. No subject specialisation required. What we're looking for NZ-registered teachers (or working towards registration), both primary and secondary trained welcomed Confident classroom managers open to working with older students Flexible, professional, and reliable educators Teachers seeking variety, growth, or additional relief opportunities Interested?
