The Position Position Title: FPS Medical Enabler Chapter: Business Enablement & LLC Innovation Reports to: Chapter Lead: Business Enablement & LLC Innovation The Opportunity: The FPS Medical Enabler acts as the custodian of Disease Area (DA) and product knowledge for the Foundational Portfolio. You are responsible for providing strategic input and operational support for the implementation of the LLC strategies for the assigned DA while always ensuring the highest ethical and quality standards, patients' safety and safeguarding Roche's reputation. Unlike traditional medical roles focused on launch and medical education, this role focuses on LLC innovation: optimising hidden opportunities (label extensions, delivery options), maintaining customers and patients education and understanding through different Go-To-Market (GTM) models As an FP Squad Member, you are responsible for: Outcomes Focus: Together with other FPS members, define short and mid-term FPS outcomes in alignment with the FPS vision. Proactively contribute to the achievement of these outcomes and linked success metrics. Data and Insight-Driven Scientific Strategy Scientific Synthesis: Identify unmet medical needs and clinical gaps by synthesising insights (patient journey, treatment landscape, and real-world evidence) from cross-functional sources to shape evidence-based strategies. Medical Benchmarking: Proactively integrate external clinical trends and healthcare ecosystem learnings to enrich FPS LLC capabilities and ensure medical activities remain competitive and relevant. Evidence Stewardship: Ensure medical investments and scientific activities are impactful, prioritised, and aligned with DA / Countries priorities. 2. Compliance, Patient Safety & Clinical Excellence Compliance Guardrails: Ensure all business activities adhere to the highest ethical standards, navigating company SOPs, local Pharma Codes (iFPMA), and regulatory requirements to protect the company's license to operate. Medical Governance: Lead risk identification and mitigation planning, implementing robust internal controls to ensure patient safety and data integrity across all DA initiatives. MLR approval: Act as the final medical authority for the review and approval of external materials, ensuring scientific accuracy, balance, and compliance with local regulations. 3. Capability Building & Knowledge Management Partner Empowerment: Coach and train internal squad and external partners on DA-specific clinical knowledge and medical compliance to ensure a high standard of scientific engagement. Medical Inquiry Leadership: Oversee the medical information process, ensuring that unsolicited inquiries from HCPs are managed with high-quality, evidence-based responses that meet global and local standards. Knowledge Architecture: Serve as the primary scientific resource for the network, providing timely expertise to resolve complex clinical questions and support the "One-Roche" approach to customer service. 4. Innovative Medical Go-To-Market (GTM) Architecture GTM Evolution: Co-design the evolution of Go-to-Market models for the late-life-cycle portfolio by co-designing and piloting cost-efficient GTM alternatives to traditional face-to-face engagement, integrating potential needs for Medical engagement. VACC Leadership: Apply Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach leadership to champion the medical transformation, ensuring clinical value is integrated into the digital-first LLC portfolio. Personalised Medical Experience: In collaboration with DA Marketing Lead, architect data-driven, scientific engagement activities that deliver personalised digital content, providing HCPs with a legitimate, high-value alternative to traditional service models. AI-Enabled Medical Affairs: Leverage AI and automation to enhance the speed and efficiency but also quality of medical content creation, inquiry management, and insight generation. Who You Are: At least 5 years of experience within a Medical Affairsrole in Pharmaceutical, Diagnostics, Health Sciences, Biotechnology or other related fields. Prior experience in DA is preferred LLC Experience: Experience in late-cycle portfolio management is highly valued. Communication: Highly proficient verbal and written English is essential.
