YOUR IMPACT: As Management Accountant, you will partner with both internal and external clients to provide a high level of business performance reporting and analysis to ensure the integrity of finance information and contributing to Council’s compliance with legislation and account standards. Financial Systems & Compliance: Develop and maintain system processes, reports, and data analytics that enhance financial visibility, reliability, and decision-making across business units. Reporting & Accountability: Produce timely, accurate financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders, including statutory reporting and audit support, strengthening transparency and accountability. Budgeting & Financial Planning: Support the preparation and review of annual budgets, long-term financial forecasts, and quarterly budget reviews, enabling sustainable financial planning and resource allocation. Business Partnering & Advisory: Acts as a key financial partner to departments, providing insights, analyse financial trends and performance, and identifying risks and opportunities that inform strategic planning and financial sustainability. Team & Organisational Contribution: Support continuous improvement and governance by escalating risks and issues appropriately and undertaking duties consistent with expertise. WHAT YOU BRING: Qualifications: A Certificate or qualification in Business Administration, Records or Information Management or similar discipline. Experience: Working in Government and/or familiarity with Local Government operations. Technical Skills: Good computer skills, particularly with Microsoft programs and the use of AI.
