About Us This is an exciting opportunity to work in our State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) who regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW. This role sits more specifically in our Insurance Markets & Premium Design team who work to design, implement and monitor initiatives to improve scheme design, claims practices and outcomes within the NSW Compulsory Third Party Scheme. Understand more about SIRA – here . Your responsibilities will include : Conduct research and evaluate options to inform innovative scheme design solutions and support confident decision-making. Provide end-to-end project support, from drafting discussion papers and briefs to managing submissions, that help shape policy and design outcomes. Prepare and review design recommendations using best-practice methodologies to ensure alignment with strategic policy directions. Coordinate stakeholder consultations, working groups, and committee meetings to foster collaboration and ensure successful design implementation. Gather and analyse data to support reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement of scheme design initiatives. Identify emerging issues and risks, providing timely insights that support effective service delivery and strategic decision-making. About you: Our ideal candidate is someone who is keen to learn and develop their skills in a complex policy & design environment. Someone who can apply their skills and experience to the strategic regulatory design of the statutory insurance schemes. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and equivalent experiences in government regulation, public policy analysis or economic regulation are essential for this role along with: An analytical thinker who can critically review information and think outside the box. Highly organised, with skills in research, writing, personal initiative and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A great team player with a positive outlook who wants to be a part of a supportive and engaged team. Ability to operate effectively in a complex, sensitive and changing environment and work across multiple tasks. An interest in and curiosity about personal injury schemes, and/or experience in a policy, design or personal injury background.
