About the role: This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience. Your duties will include but not be limited to: Install, maintain, and repair water and irrigation systems across landscaping and urban environments Assist with trenching, pipe installation, pump repairs, and general system maintenance Monitor, test, and troubleshoot water systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation Support the design and setup of irrigation and water management systems as your skills develop Conduct water use checks and audits to help improve efficiency and sustainability Perform maintenance on stormwater harvesting systems to ensure optimal functionality What we're looking for - Skills & Experience A genuine interest in the role with a positive, eager attitude to learn Punctual, reliable, and energetic, with a strong work ethic Comfortable with early starts and open to flexible hours A current driver's licence (preferred) and willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check What can you expect from us? - Benefits Personalised one-on-one coaching throughout your training to ensure your success A nationally recognised qualification - Certificate III in Irrigation Technology Oportunity to obtain additional licences and accreditations Fortnightly Pay 35 hours per week (6:45am-3:15pm) with overtime available as required and a fortnightly Rostered Day Off (RDO) About the company: A local government authority serving Melbourne's diverse inner northern suburbs, committed to creating a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable community.
