NWRH is seeking a compassionate and reliable In-Home Cleaner – Community, Aged & Disability to provide essential domestic assistance to older people and people with disability within their own homes across the Mount Isa community. This role supports clients to maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing while living safely in their own homes. About the Role The In-Home Cleaner provides person-centred domestic assistance in accordance with individual care and support plans, using a wellness, reablement, and capacity-building approach. You will support clients to build resilience and independence while delivering services that are respectful, culturally safe, and responsive to individual needs. This position reports to the Team Leader and works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery. Key Responsibilities Service Delivery Provide in-home domestic cleaning services in a courteous, respectful, and culturally appropriate manner Deliver person-centred support in line with individual care or support plans Encourage and support clients to achieve their optimal level of independence Report changes in client health, wellbeing, or circumstances promptly to leadership Respond calmly and professionally to emergencies or unexpected situations Documentation & Compliance Complete accurate and timely electronic client records and appointment verifications Report outcomes and service delivery data in line with funding requirements Submit timesheets accurately and on time Maintain infection control, food safety, PPE, and WH&S standards Professional Conduct Communicate effectively with clients, families, carers, and internal stakeholders Uphold organisational policies, procedures, and codes of conduct Comply with all relevant legislation, National Aged Care Standards, and Disability Support requirements Act with integrity, accountability, and professionalism at all times Flexibility & Teamwork Participate in training, staff meetings, performance reviews, and professional development Demonstrate flexibility by assisting with tasks outside usual duties when required Work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team About You Experience in domestic cleaning duties or a willingness to learn Genuine desire to support older people and people with disability Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive, flexible, and solutions-focused attitude Awareness of local health issues and ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, or willingness and capacity to learn Current C Class Driver’s Licence Current CPR and First Aid certification Valid Blue Card and Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check Australian or NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work visa with no restrictions (Visa sponsorship is not available) Desirable Experience working with older people and/or people with disability Why Join NWRH?
