An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated person looking to continue building their career in the livestock industry as a Livestock Hand. Located outside of Nyngan, NSW (between Nyngan and Nevertire), this family owned and operated property focuses on sheep breeding and lamb fattening, running an Ultra White ewe flock. A small group of breeding cows is also maintained, with cattle trading and backgrounding undertaken when seasonal conditions permit. Fodder crops are grown to support both sheep and cattle. At present, the team is heavily feeding stock during the current dry spell, so this role will suit someone who is practical, reliable, and happy to get stuck into day-to-day livestock work. The Role The successful applicant will be involved in the day-to-day running of the property, including: General farm duties Animal husbandry and livestock work Feeding and livestock support duties Some tractor driving Assisting with seasonal tasks as required What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have: A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude A genuine interest in livestock and rural work The ability to work independently and as part of a team Working dogs: Reasonable working dogs will be an advantage, however applicants without working dogs are still encouraged to apply. Please note: No pig dogs. Mustering Motorbikes and buggies are used for mustering.
