The key duties of the position include The Role Maritime and Strategic Communications Systems Program Office (MSCSPO) is seeking multiple Product Managers. As a Product Manager, you will work within a blended APS, Military and Industry team and be accountable to use your technical knowledge of, and compliance with, legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements. You will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role. You will exercise sound decision-making and judgement to provide expert technical advice. You will provide detailed product management, technical and/or engineering advice in relation to complex systems. You will analyse, develop and recommend product management options that achieve optimal use of Defence capabilities, systems, balancing cost, opportunities and risks against desired capability performance. About our Team Comprised of four major elements, the Maritime and Strategic Communications Systems Program Office (MSCSPO) executive functions are: Maritime Communications Modernisation, including acquisition projects and the sustainment of associated capabilities; Naval and Shore Communications Sustainment Management Office in Sydney; Naval Communication Station Harold E Holt, at Exmouth WA, which operates and sustains the Very Low Frequency Submarine Broadcast capability; and Navigation Systems Sustainment.
