We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Child and Family Health team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families within the community. The Child and Family Health Nursing service is a core component of primary health care, supporting children aged 0–5 years and their families during the important early years of life. In this role, you will work in partnership with families using a strengths based family partnership approach underpinned by the principles of Primary Health Care. You will support optimal health, growth and wellbeing through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care tailored to the needs and goals of each child and family. The position involves providing a comprehensive child and family health service, including health screening and developmental assessment, prevention and early identification of issues, early intervention, referral, health promotion, community education and support. You will collaborate closely with families, carers and team members to achieve meaningful outcomes for clients accessing the Child and Family Health Nursing Service. What You Will Bring To The Role Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA) Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in provision of care to children aged 0-5 years and their families/carers as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or 12 months full time equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse) Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work. Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills. Demonstrated commitment to professional development. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. Current driver's licence and willingness to use for work purposes. This may include driving long distances across the LHD.
