About the Opportunity We are looking for a highly experienced Contracts Manager to join our Queensland team. This senior role provides expert commercial leadership and contractual oversight across complex civil and water infrastructure projects. You will be a trusted advisor to senior leadership and project teams, ensuring strong commercial governance, effective risk management and margin protection while driving consistent commercial practices and successful project delivery. In addition to contractual governance, you will play a critical role in financial performance management, including reviewing forecasts, cash flow and commercial reporting, to identify risks and opportunities early. Your ability to influence project delivery outcomes through strong commercial strategies will be key to success. Key aspects of the role include: Leading commercial governance and contract administration across multiple projects. Providing commercial advice on contract conditions, risk allocation and subcontract terms. Managing commercial claims and variations to achieve timely and favorable project outcomes. Overseeing subcontractor and supplier agreements to ensure appropriate commercial terms and risk alignment. Reviewing project financial performance, forecasts and reporting to protect and enhance margins. Mentoring and developing commercial teams to strengthen capability and accountability. What You’ll Bring to the Team Demonstrated experience operating as a Contracts Manager within construction or infrastructure projects. Strong capability across commercial and financial aspects of project delivery, including claims and variations management. Advanced skills in risk assessment, forecasting, and commercial reporting. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., Jobpac, IFS, Procore). Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to mentor teams and influence senior stakeholders to drive best practice.
